I respectfully disagree. You cannot win championships without top recruits. We are currently recruiting at a level that we have never reached before. A HC change puts that at risk, not just for this year, but for several unless the new coach really knocks it out of the park. We go back to 10 - 20 rankings instead of top 5. And we still don't go to the SECCG.

The only possible change would be to let Pruitt be HC. This would retain most of the defensive recruits, but the QB WR of the world typically want an offensive minded HC.

I would rather fire Schotty and get a proven OC.

Richt can shake hands at the beginning and end of the games and spend the rest of his time handing out water with his wife for all I care. I agree he is not "in the game" for some reason. But don't discount the "running a clean program" "caring about the kids" "putting kids in the NFL" "moms love him" aspects he brings to the reputation for recruiting. I know I am in the minority here, but I really think his leaving does more harm than good.

I think it depends on the remainder of our games. If we win out, I'd say Richt has a hot seat and we hopefully get rid of Shotty.
