...now trying to put Harry T's out of business.
Is there a more butthurt winning fan base than the Bayou Tigers???
You're in 1st place in the SEC. Act like you've been there before.

We whipped your arse Saturday and barring special teams blunders it should have been worse than it was. Get over it.

Sounds like Harry T's is trying to put Harry T's out of business. What dumbasses

You didn't whip anyone's arse. You won by a single touchdown to a team with 3 true freshman OL and a second-string QB at home in a infamous night game in your home stadium. You had a luck-play before half for a miraculous touchdown, a tricky flea-flicker, and an equally as tricky fake FG for a touchdown.
You're probably the best team in the SEC, but don't act like Miles didn't throw the kitchen sink at UF or that you "whipped some arse" — you won, enjoy it and be reasonable ffs.

Not melting...but c'mon! I've seen Danny Wuerffel get later hits than Fournette.
LF is a big boy. No reason to cry when someone looks at him mean.
And ganging up on Harry T's. Please...

With 10:40 remaining, and of which Florida could never answer. By the way, the TD capped a 75 yd drive.

LSU threw the ball 19 times to your 32. They controlled the line of scrimmage, and played keep away in the second half.
You're right, it wasn't a crazy beat down. Just don't act like LSU only got lucky.

Dude, quit whining. How many threads are you going to slobber all over?

Lucky break on muffed punt, I agree.
Returning a kick for a TD isn't a trick-play or rare occurrence.
You didn't even really defend the fake kick as anything other than a trick-play.
And I said you're probably the best team in the SEC. That doesn't mean there wasn't some luck involved in both sides, and just because *some* luck was on both sides, it doesn't mean it was an equal amount.
Fake kicks, flea-flickers, and hail mary's for touchdowns aren't exactly known for being common. I just keep seeing how LSU kicked total arse last Saturday, and the tape just doesn't reflect that.

quote:True, but it isn't exactly indicative of offensive/defensive effort. Punt returns for a touch down typically don't happen that often. The punt is more often a tool for flipping the field.

Since LSU always gets knocked for having bad passing numbers, why can't we talk about how Florida only had 55 rushing yds?

The Arkansas and Tennessee melts this year made sense--lots of swearing and pxrn bombs. Florida's melts are just weird.

LSU's special teams have sucked all year, and their fans have been crying to fire that coach all year, but somehow, any issues on special teams are "gifts" for the opponent, not the opponent taking advantage of a weakness. But not when it comes to the fake fg, nope, wasn't a gift. It was Les and his mastery of the game of football. Can't have this one both ways Tiger fans.
And LSU's run of 21 points in 5 minutes was not miraculous. They called some good plays and on scramble plays their receivers were better athletes than UF's DBs, they got open, they found the ball, they made plays. It's anyone's ball on those scrambles and LSU won all of them in the 2nd qtr. LSU owned the 2nd qtr and the 4th qtr. UF owned the 1st and 3rd. But LSU's domination of the 2nd qtr was profound. LOS, running, passing, execution at all positions - they completely controlled the 2nd quarter with the exception of about 1 minute on UF's quick score.
Can we put this game to bed yet?
LSU needs to figure out how they're going to not be held to 13 yards passing in the second half and 46 yards of offense in a critical 3rd quarter against other SEC teams - and UF needs to get dramatically better in the run game, at QB, and beat the snot out of UGA.
Maybe we get to see this all over again in Atlanta.

The muffed punt was a gift, but you are right about the punt return. That's why my point was that it isn't indicative of how the offense and defenses played the game. I will continue to be frustrated with the LSU special teams having given up two kicks for TD's this year.

LSU specifically scouted Florida for this. They openly admitted to having prepared that play for this game. I think Miles is still butthurt about the Tebow jump pass. Anyway, that play capped off a 75 yd play drive. It's not like they had great field position from the get go.
Regardless, neither secondary played particularly well. Each team gave up multiple long passes, and Florida had guys wide open because the Tigers have been struggling to adjust to zone coverage schemes. I would also like to see LSU do a better job of running the clock out and not having to punt ball away.
