Um...what?

We won that year with defense, but you have to take into account the offenses we are using is the point. If you put this years defense on the 2009 offense, then our stats are going to be even better than they were in 2009.

Right now, we have the #1 pass defense in the country according to the S&P while also having the #3 rushing defense.

We are giving up more points than 2009 because we are asking the defense to do way more now than we did in 2009.

Last year the defense was on the field for more than 2 extra games worth of plays due to the "high powered offense" of Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin by far has been the best in my opinion. What he was able to do with Sims last year and this year with Coker behind two years of maybe our weakest OL play is beyond the ability of any other OC under Saban.

I do question some of the calls like why hand the ball to Henry out of the shotgun. Henry seems to do better when Coker is under the center. Also it may be me but Stewart just does not have it as a play maker for me. Its like Kiffin sees the talent(potential) like most of us do but we try so many ways to get him involved and it results more in negative plays with him or dropped passes.

Also I think some need to realize our RB corps is not great. Henry is going to have a great season for us but he is not a top RB in the league and Drake is so hit or miss right now. Harris looks to be like what we were used to in the past.

The one thing that did frustrate me in the game was with the success Henry was having and their team having issues tackling him why did we not relieve Henry with Bo. I think Bo would have had a big game.
