The whole QB situation this year has been handled poorly. Not having a starter going into the 3rd game of the year and then starting a new guy instead of the guy who started the 1st 2 games is a mistake for the highschool level of the game.

When it comes to the offense, there is more to the game than scoring points. We score on big plays which also leaves us often times putting more and more pressure on our defense. As such, you have to score more when you do this to your defense.

And many times he has killed drives by going to the pass. We start a drive well, get a few 1st downs and then he either gets cute or goes - pass, pass, pass punt.

Offensively we have a top30 offense in the S&P. But our passing down success rate is 83rd in the country. That would be downs where you are in passing situations and how successful you are on them. We aren't very. And with all the negative plays they increase.

The idea he has less talent to work with is out to lunch. We won in 2009 with not as good a defense with really only Julio as a notable receiver and McElroy who couldn't pass more than 20 yards. We just ran the ball, ran the ball and didn't need to score 40+ points a game.

I am glad he has run Henry heavy against Georgia and A&M and hope that continues. It's obvious where we have success.

He did against Wisconsin and tried against OM but the OLine was getting it's lunch eaten until we fell behind and their D eventually wore down some. Near the end of the OM game is the only instance this season so far I'd be overly critical of Kiffin's run/pass balance.

Um...what?

None of our receivers right now are as good as 2009 Julio Jones.

We also came close to losing multiple games because we couldn't score. We had a 3 game SEC stretch where we scored 52 points: 2 Mark Ingram touchdowns, a Mark Barron pick six, and 11 Leigh Tiffin FGs. If we were to do that in any three conference game stretch this year we would go 0-3 or 1-2. It's only been 6 years, but this is a different era of football.

The QB situation was handled pretty much exactly the wat it was in 2011 with AJ and Sims splitting series until AJ won the job outright. Sims got meaningful series until the 4th game of the season. Sound familiar?
