I would think y'all would be celebrating more than anyone. Spurrier has always own y'alls bitch asses.

I think y'all should probably move along and worry about your own program...it's quickly deteriorating into a shitshow that'll be having y'all wishing Richt would get the hell outta dodge.

"Resigned" doesn't mean "quit" anymore, I guess.

I'm suprised by his quitting in the middle of a season, and as someone said earlier in this thread, there will probably be more to this story later. I hope it's not a health issue, but that would make much more sense than for "the betterment of the program". That is a joke.

He could have told Tanner that he was done at the end of the year, and the search for a coach could start now. That's a behind the scenes type of thing, shrouded in much secrecy, regardless of what message board hacks think. Most, if not all of the current staff will not be hired by the new coach. So any excuse about the need for assistants to "shine" makes no sense, and only leaves them in the lurch. That's another issue that would have been just fine if SOS would have just informed the staff and Tanner, and finished the year.

The players. Many of you busted Pocket Aces balls for not knowing what 85 random people think, while assuming to know that 85 players are ok with it. As of now, they don't get to play for SOS in his last games... To win one for the OBC, while still being just as much in the air about their transition to a new coach as they would have with their coach riding off into the sunset.

He quit. Again, I hope it's not because of health of he or his family, but I'd hope there is more to the story than him just up and quitting for those weak reasons.
