Did you miss the part about Grier wanting to "help others learn from his mistake"? Well it'd be very helpful if he wasn't so secretive about what he ingested.

HIPAA does not cover non-medical records or information. It would only apply if Grier was taking it for medical reasons and was under medical supervision which he was not. Trust me I am a physician and have to know the precise meaning of the regulation.
