You're right, what we need is random passerbys trying to be heros with guns they probably aren't all that accurate with. Yup. Especially in a situation like this, where the suspect is right next to the victim attacking him with a machete. I can't see anything going wrong with that situation.

There was a recent robbery where a Samaritan tried to shoot the bad guy and popped the victim. Samaritan pics up shell casings and runs, becoming the bad guy.

Dude if you are getting slowly butchered with a knife, I promise, you will take your chances with someone trying to save you with a legally owned gun. Btw, everyone I know with a conceal and carry isn't inaccurate with a gun, most are ex military, ex cop, or guys that go to the range and can shoot the face out of a quarter. Straw man argument, pretty typical.
