They'd probably be right. For as shite as Muschamp was on offense, they still had very good defensive talent. I don't think anyone expected Grier to be ahead of schedule. shite happens. UF is generally pretty dominant and it was just a matter of time before they landed a decent coach (which their AD has a record of doing) to bring them back to success.

Harris is going to be a fantastic defensive player. Lock is going to be a good QB. Towles struggled against UF's defense and he's certainly not shite.

The reality is you're having a down year after two pretty good seasons. And unless you're someone like Alabama, down years generally mean breaking in younger talent for better or worse.

And unless you're landing someone Saban-esque, you'd be functionally retarded to fire Pinkel.

right, just land a "decent coach"..

this really hasn't been a "down year" for Mizzou, we have as good a QB as we have seen, his inexperience doesn't outweigh what he has brought in skill, and the Dline is still playing at the level nobody thought it could. So yea, it's a nice excuse that this is somehow a "rebuilding" year, but the fact is, it's not going to get better than this, next year will see most of the Oline turn over and when teams like UGA or FL start getting the coaching their talent needs, it's gonna be more long days for Mizzou.

Believe me, no one outside of this blathering idiot wants to get rid of Pinkel.

This is the youngest two deep we've ever had under Pinkel and the offense is shitting the bed. It is what it is. Most of our fans do not have our program confused with being a blue blood and realize that down years happen. They suck, but they happen.

You are correct Belle. It's the grind of the SEC. Changes keep changing to changes in this conference.

We tried to tell the Mizzou's, the East has been down a few years. They didn't want to hear that, and I don't blame them. It wasn't that we were attempting to diminish their accomplishments, they've represented themselves admirably.

Have the Gators caught lightening in a bottle this year? I don't know! I do believe we have a coaching staff that teaches that you play like you practice and if the fundamentals are locked down, success will follow.
