1968 game was the first SEC/Conference game played on an artificial surface. Tennessee scored as time ran out to tie it 17-15 on a pass from Bubba Wyche (Sam's brother) to Gary Kreis. The two pointer after time expired provided a 17-17 tie.ABC nationally televised game. One of the best,if not THE best game in the series.

(also the Georgia player #57 in the photo has one of the greatest names in SEC history -- Happy Dicks.)

don't know if you'd be interested, and it might be time consuming...but you should consider doing a little writeup/blurb for 1 big SEC matchup each week. I feel like you are always posting nifty little factoids about SEC history and such, I know I wouldn't be the only one to really enjoy something like that.

One of the only good things to come out of Coalfield, TN. He was the coach when I played against them many years ago. Always seemed like a good dude and we always beat that arse.
