I don't want to know it because firing him means another 2-3 of rebuilding. I hope and pray that they make changes on the defensive staff and maybe offensive staff and this gets figured out. Also maybe Hart and Cheek should go.

I think his buyout is set at 4 Million

Not really. We have two years of stacked talent. Are we short some places? Yes, but a good coach can come in and win with good game planning. See UF this year...

True but it means the team has to learn a whole new system and recruiting starts from scratch because of the coaching change. Do I think Butch is a good X's and O's coach, no. But like I said in another thread. If our defense could stop a drive than we aren't talking about that 2 point conversion last week or the decision to kick a FG on the 1 yard line against Okie. Our defense has let us down this year and when they have let us down the offense has struggled to regain the momentum.

Agreed. The defense has choked when they could put the game away

You have it kind of backwards. Both of our units have let us down, but just look at how much our defense is on the field in the 2nd half of games. They are just on the field too much, and it shows late in the second half of games. It's a result of our offense continually struggling to sustain drives. We played terrible tonight and this coaching staff is in some shite if we have a typical losing October.

This is because teams will stack the box against the run and Dobbs who can occasionally make the necessary passes across the middle ( it's not enough) can't hit the deep sideline routes. Which brings me back to Starting Dormady. Still use Dobbs for run plays but Dirmady is the superior passer. If we can't figure this out the next two weeks will be hell.

Who are we going to get? Our athletic department is totally inept at making good hires.

I would like to have Gary Patterson. We would have to throw the checkbook at him. Hoping he wants a challenge in the SEC. Like I have stated before I think butch can work out but dc needs to go and possibly some other changes

quote:Michigan has a new coach. They've allowed 14 points in the past 4 games. Scored an average of 30. A new coach doesn't have to mean rebuilding, so long as it's actually a coach and not a God damn third chair trumpet player.
. See UF this year...
