That's the Butch Jones option, when we publicly whiff on our top three or four candidates, and someone has to take the job.

Holiday is intriguing, but he is older than I'd like.

I just hope Tanner gets proactive and has his short list ready. Not going to lie, I wish we had Hyman quarterbacking this decision.

58, so he could have a 7-8 year run before the "he's about to retire crowd' gets vocal.

Some key things about his resume, besides being 26-6 the past 3 years, are:

2000–2004 NC State (AHC/WR)
2005–2007 Florida (AHC/S/RC)
2008–2009 West Virginia (AHC/TE/FB/RC)

At NCState, he was the one who discovered and recruited Philip Rivers, he also didn't have a losing season there and built them into a respectable program under Amato. They were recruiting well those years.

2005-2007 at UF as the Recruiting Coordinator...they won the BCS in '06 and '08 with the guys he was helping Meyer bring in.

As the AHC and RC for 2 years at WVU, he went 9-4 both years AND helped build the team that destroyed clemson with 70 points in the Orange bowl the year after he left.

He's a VERY good evaluator of talent.
