My grandparents were Miami Eagles fans and I remember programs and papers when I was really young from some of their bigger games including against the Bulls. Unless I'm thinking of a different organization. Had forgotten about them and those names until you brought it up.

I was an usher my senior year at Bama. They brought Dave Hanson back that last year to play with the youngsters. Michel Goulet was also on that team and went on to have a great NHL career. Saw Gretzky play as an under age junior for Edmonton...the NHL wouldn't sign juniors. Only 4 teams merged with the NHL...Edmonton, Winnipeg, New England, and Quebec. Cincinnati died with the Bulls. Great rivalry with the Stingers. One night I saw Hanson get in a fight with a guy, but for some reason the other guy got more minutes. Hanson and the other guy kept jawing with each other while in the boxes. When Hanson got out and was skating by the other penalty box, he jumped in and started beating the shite out of the other guy. I think Durbano had actually been banned for life from one of the minor leagues. And yeah, hockey is far and away what Eli Gold is best at...and probably a more difficult sport to call.
