Yeah, they are working on getting him in still. Grades may be borderline.

Not to threadjack but it drives me nuts that schools can't take risks on some of these young men. you don't want to discourage kids from doing good in high school, but why can't A&M take a chance on him with the proviso that he improves or makes some set improvement on a standardized test at the end of his freshman year. If A&M doesn't get him to show improvement, then A&M is penalized in some way (loss of future scholarship,etc.)?

It seems like you could create a program where colleges actually compete to save or fix some of these kid's academic problems.
