I have to give Cam Cameron some credit. A lot of offensive coordinators would get really impatient and have to prove to everyone how good they are by throwing the ball all over the place. He's relying heavily on the running game and bringing Harris along. Lot of coordinators (ahem, Dan Enos) seem to have to prove how smart they are.
LSU had a 62:38 rush:pass ratio in 2013, which is ideally where I think Cam would like to be (60:40). They are about 75:25 right now but it will move in the 60:40 direction in the coming weeks.
Harris really impressed me on one scoring drive in the third quarter against Syracuse. He got flushed, ran around a bit, and threw the ball into the seats. A year ago he would have tried to make a play and thrown it to a defender.
Cameron's doing a nice job with him. He's going to have games where he really struggles but he's certainly trending positively.
