The entire premise of your thread is wrong.
Since the middle of the Pat Dye years, they've had an outstanding season followed by two or three mediocre to poor seasons. Including the last few years of Dye, the cycle's been repeated across 5 different head coaches. They're the very definition of consistency.

who cares, 3 SEC, 1 NC, 1 Heisman, 2 undefeated seasons (has LSU ever had one?)
