People should absolutely respect the flag and the anthem. I would have done the same thing.

I was being sarcastic.
I don't stand up for the anthem. Unless I think it might make the people I happen to be with uncomfortable. And then I stand and just try not to vomit.
I bought a ticket to watch a football game. Not stand up during a song to worship the red white and blue idol of the federal government with a bunch of militant commie nationalists.
