As for your question, OP, most people would regard Arnold as an American hero. Countless things would be named after him. Historians would likely view him as a talented general with a colossal ego.

Honestly surprised the Left doesn't celebrate him already. He offered slaves freedom if they would fight for the British and freed some during his campaign in Virginia.
