My morals and your morals have nothing to do with why the NCAA does not allow to pay players.

Remove the amateur athlete tag, pay them a fair wage and stop pretending. Also, don't make them attend class, let the NFLPA get involved and negotiate for the benefit of these minor league players.

Drop the ruse. It's not fooling anyone any longer.

We are on the same page. But I also really like LSU sports, so I wouldn't mind the kids at least just being able to make their living off of their own name. There is no reason why Jonny Manziel should not have been able to sign a few footballs for some cash. It's the purest form of capitalism.

This has it's own set of problems though.

The only answer is to remove their amateur status. Everything else has pitfalls. Heck, removing their amateur status will lead to them getting paid by bag men openly but at least they can make it so it can be tracked. If all money is not reported and someone is busted, immediate death penalty for a year.

Make it like fricking up on the autobahn. The repercussions are severe.

That's not capitalism, really. It could be. But if some booster decided to buy 100 JFF signed balls at $1,000 per football, that would be "legal." It really isn't capitalism.
