This is such a lame excuse for stubborn playcalling and bad execution.

Gus has a relatively experienced offensive line, a stable of running backs and a true pocket passer at QB. What's there to figure out?

It's not hard to see that regardless of what Gus says publicly, his confidence in Johnson has decreased dramatically. We turned into Bubble Screen U yesterday. They never pushed the ball down the field, and two of the intermediate throws were picked off.

You also know that regardless of what the opposing defense is running, we're going to run the ball more than half the time. I think some of that right now again has to do with not wanting put the ball in JJ's hands as much, but we ran straight into a ton of run blitzes yesterday with no safeties in the middle of the field. Would be nice for an "offensive genius" like Gus to be able to see that pre-snap and check out of it every once in a while.
