I think what he's saying is that a team that has been 9th or 10th in the league, for about a decade now, losing shouldn't really impact the national perception of the SEC.

People are more vulnerable at their highest point and unsuspecting. Now the SEC is in full "fightback" mode....and a bad time to attack them.
It is what it is. Can't deny the facts.
