Interesting correlations in all time overall programs, neither had a stellar long term history but both were good at selling their stadiums even in the lean years with high optimism fans in the lean times.

You can see the UK peaks with Bear and Fran and the USC peak with Spurrier.

Interesting is UK's bottom with HoF coach Jerry Clairborne and USC's bottom with HoF coach Lou Holtz.

I wish our basketball histories were similar.

It feels like this match up is used, especially when played earlier in the year and as the line graph shows after 1992, both schools seem to use this as a barometer at how their season will turn out. If we can continue to force turnovers through interceptions we may be able to mask our weakness overall on defense. Special teams got a gold star from me last week and I want to say it now, GIVE JOE A RAISE! Finding a quality, football savvy individual as a punter is an incredible accomplishment and should be thanked. As for offense I don't know how I'm going to keep my lunch down on Saturdays whenever I'm rolling up and down this coaster of a team this season. On a positive note, I'm looking forward to enjoying our new plaza when I'm at the game Saturday.
