Did he kill anyone while playing for the Gators? Hernandez was drafted in 2010...crimes he committed after have nothing to do with Florida

OK while at Florida... this was known, CUM got him off..

A 2007 police report that documents an attempted homicide in Gainesville, Fla. mentions former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez by name.

Hernandez, who is currently being held in prison without bail after being charged with first-degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, was a 17-year-old freshman at the University of Florida in 2007. Various media outlets reported that Massachusetts police are working with officers in Florida to find if Hernandez is connected to the case, but the Gainesville Police Department issued a statement disputing those reports.

Cason told officers on scene that a Hawaiian or Hispanic male standing around 6-foot-3 with a muscular build and a lot of tattoos walked up to the vehicle and quickly fired five shots. He then ran off with another man, identified as Reggie Nelson, a former Florida player who was a rookie safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars at the time.

In the days following the incident, Cason identified Hernandez as the second suspect, but later rescinded his identification of both Hernandez and Nelson. Several other witnesses identified the shooter as a black male.

An officer found four .38-caliber shell casings at the scene.

When interviewed by police, Nelson acknowledged that he was at the nightclub, called The Venue, where he ran into Hernandez and Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, who both now play in the NFL. Nelson said Hernandez told him Cason stole a chain from one of the Pouncey twins.

After the club closed, one of the twins told Nelson the same story and pointed out Cason. Nelson approached Cason and asked for the chain back, but Cason said he had already given it away. Nelson claims he then told Cason he didn't want any trouble and walked away.

Hernandez wasn't as cooperative and the report says he invoked his right to counsel when contacted by police on Oct. 9. Cason rescinded his identification of the two suspects the same day.
