The way Berkstresser was written off is kind of a shame.
Probably a much better leader than Mauk.
He had zero offensive line. Started against some really good teams, including Bama.
Cannon of an arm.
Company man.
Wish they would have used him in some way, like OU was using that big guy on short yardage.

Threw crap load of balls into the ground and under thrown balls down field. Yes the O-Line was horrible and he sounds like a hell of a guy. But he did not get screwed by the coaches he was just not that good.

Great Tiger. Hell of a guy, and will probably be very successful in whatever he does after football.
