He was a great back...but stats don't always tell the whole story. You and I both know we can't use that as justification for saying A is better than B or else you're essentially saying Timmy Chang is tGoat quarterback. I'd probably place Faulk at 3 or 4 behind Lewis, Taylor, and possibly Henry as guys that put the fear in me as a bama fan. We struggled tackling big backs in that age though.

Lewis had Peyton Manning at QB and one good year. Taylor had only one season over 900 yards and 8 TDs rushing. Henry was good throughout his career, but only had one 1000 yard rushing season. Faulk had 3 straight 1150+ yard 12+ TD seasons.

Faulk did everything and was extremely versatile. He scored as a rusher, passer, receiver, kick returner, and punt returner. He holds the SEC record in All purpose yards, and I'm sure he still either first or second in total yards. He scored 54 TDs in his career.

The fact of the matter is, he statically overwhelms all those guys and was the most dangerous player on the field.
