Yeah I will be fricking pissed if they get Chip Kelly. Nothing is a slam dunk but they would probably be a top 10-15 team by 2019 if they get him. Would suck for us.
The fact that a decent portion of their fanbase doesn't want him because of the past is hilarious though.

He'd be as close to a slam dunk as it gets. He made a living off of Street-Agenting kids out of Texas, so even though he never coached down here, he knows the recruiting territory. I hope Philly goes on a win streak, but...

Agreed, but you could have said the same thing when Charlie was hired if they could have sat on their ego long enough to give the job to Briles without an interview. Every coaching hire is a chance for Texas to either slip further into the abyss or pull themselves out.
I am honestly more scared of a Tom Herman than a Chip Kelly as Kelly never won a really big bowl game and had so-so recruiting for a guy who cheated so much with such great facilities.
