So the justification for how good a defense is, or may be in the future, is based on a single meaningless bowl game?

Ole Miss had arguably the best defense in CFB last year, and they should be good again in 2015.

That doesn't seem to be the rhetoric people apply to Alabama. Because obviously the Auburn and Ohio State games prove Alabama will never field a dominant defense again. Nevermind Alabama led the SEC in nearly every major defensive category from 2008-2013, and top five in the country in the same categories during the same time.

No, but it's fair to bring up a game in which the OM defense was completely obliterated by a good team. I don't know how you can't see this.
