Besides, your statement is no different than everyone defending Muschamp despite getting lit up by Alabama quite often.
Define "quite often."

In 2009 & 2011 your offense averaged 315 yards @ 5.1 yards/play.

For comparison, Malzahn as HC has averaged 512 yards of offense against Alabama @ 6.5 yards/play.

The problem wasn't the defense in 2/3 games you guys love to quote. The problem was his offense could never stay on the field (2011 UF offense had 9 first downs against Alabama) and/or turned the ball over a lot (UT had 5 turnovers against Alabama, 1 of which happened inside UTs 5 yard line).

But I forget that this is the rant and only HUNH teams negatively effect the defensive performance.

In 2009, we took our foot off the gas when we were up by 18 at the half. Our error. Not to mention a QB with injured ribs.

As far as 2011 is concerned - we scored 38 points. Short fields tend to give higher scores and fewer yards.

It doesn't matter what we debate here, only what happens on game day. Your opinion and my opinion regarding future events dictated by individuals that neither of us have even the slightest impact on is irrelevant.

It remains to be seen if the result of EJ's failures were his, the HUNH, Malzahn's specific influence, or personnel.

That being said, you're being quite disingenuous. You give Malzahn his full resume to work with, but leave off when Alabama scorched Muschamp for over 670 yards. Being tired had nothing to do with it - we had over 250 yards in the first quarter.

And, to be fair, that was the first Muschamp vs Kiffin matchup we've seen. We could extrapolate, based on your Malzahn vs Bama logic, that Kiffin presently owns Muschamp to the tune of 672 yards per game and 7.7 yards per play. ;)
