Saban, but it's close. Both guys learn and adjust. According to everyone around him, he seems to have the edge back. He's extremely determined to get back to being physical, and the team getting the edge back. The offensive line recruiting since Cristobal has been there is evidence of that. It has been otherworldly. It will be very interesting to see the recruiting change in philosophy to defend the Spread come to fruition on the field this year (first year we've really had the guys to do it). What's funny to me, though, is that you guys still buy the story about Meyer's nervous breakdown. ROFL. His issue was having a little too much fun with a UF coed. Both guys are great. What people overlook is how much easier it is to be the hunter than the hunted. OSU was EASILY the most hungry team this year. That was very obvious in their play. FSU seems like they had that edge in 2013, and didn't have it with everybody back in 2014. It's a HUGE deal. It will be very difficult for OSU to play with the same edge that they did at the end of this past year. Unless Harbaugh and Franklin can eventually develop those programs into elite competition, Meyer will run wild in that conference. It will be a matter of winning two game at the end of the year every year. In that sense, he has a MASSIVE edge, and will likely wind up with more NCs than Saban. Not much Saban can do about that. His conference competition will prevent being able to keep up. Never before has anyone had a better situation than OSU and FSU have now. Elite SEC-level programs in jokes of conferences. I admit it. The last part of that makes me jealous.

Meyer has never had to build a bad team. He walked into a LOADED Florida team with 20 of the 22 starters on his first title team being recruited by Zook. He walked into a LOADED aOSU team as well. He CAN recruit, but he's walked into great programs with great talent that he could use to sell to other recruits. Saban's first Bama team has ZERO players drafted. He built at Bama and LSU.

Yep, I'll take a program builder like Saban any day of the week. He makes something from nothing, and when Saban leaves. All it takes is having an above average HC to be successful, and it'd take an idiot to mess up what Saban leaves behind. The programs foundation is strong after Saban is done, is all I'm saying. This doesn't only take place on the field either! Your football players/program will have the tools available to be very successful on & off the fiel after Saban gets done. Plus, every team/program will have a few trouble makers among them, but a Meyer lead program, will go full gangster before it's all said and done. No thanks, I'll pass....

To answer the question.... I'll take all the titles Saban would win while at my favorite program, and then will appreciate the titles Saban leaves behind when he's done. It's a no brainier at this point in time...... :)

Oh yeah,
Saban has never had a Tebow or Jones to lead one of his college teams. It's much easier to win when one has superman leading things among boys. It's quite astonishing that Saban has won as much as he has with QB's like John Parker Wilson, Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, and Blake Sims. Just typing that Bama QB list makes my jaw drop to the floor in disbelief. 3 National Titles with those QB's during one of the most compeditive times in SEC football. Wow!!!! kudos to Saban for all that.....

The fact Saban has been very successful with average QB's behind center says a bunch. More than not, it takes having a great QB to win titles in CFB. Having QB's like Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, and Cardale Jones complete the ingredients for a National title team. Meyer should know this fact because he's had some of these QB's during this era. Kudos to Meyer for having a nice eye for QB talent though. Oh yeah, he didn't recruit any of those guys to his programs. Did he? Think they were already there and ready to go. One has to ask then. Could an average coach win with Tebow and Jones type QB's behind center too? Well.... I guess we have a answer to that very question. Chizk won with Cam Newton, didn't he?
