Personally I think having a "purgatory" in which you put all of those who deserve a ban. Make it one forum where where that account can only post in that forum. That way at least they can state their case and know how long their ban is for. It would be like a zoo that we all could watch the worst of the worst to mingle together and see what happens. Also if this was implemented then make bannings happen for suspected alters/trolls more prevalent to keep the Rant a little bit more sane.
