That "great" offensive performance resulted in a grand total of 17 points. What psychological damage has Miles' offense inflicted upon LSU fandom that can produce such dismally low expectations for an offense?

In modern college football, 17 points is not "great". It's not "good". It's not even "adequate". It is "sub-par" at best. Fans don't have to expect weekly 40 pt eruptions by the offense. But LSU has WAAAY too much offensive talent to accept not even having a COMPETENT offense.

Alabama was only allowing 10 points a game in 2012 and 250 yards. LSU had 436 yards and 17 points. SO they went against the best statistical defense in the country and eventual national champions and played well above their season average. It was Chavis' responsibility to hold onto the lead. he didn't per usual
