One of the things that does make me laugh a bit about the perceived (or actual) QB struggles at quarterback is that Cam Cameron seems to be blamed for every QB failure for the last 15 years, which isn't fair. Cameron's been in Baton Rouge for two seasons, the first of which was very good. Yes, he had a lot of weapons but they performed at a very high level leading the country in third down conversions and top 10 in yards per play.
Last year he was forced to play with youth all over the place. Not only the QBs were young but he had young backs getting a lot of snaps and a very young wide receiver group. He did not recruit Jennings.
Now, if he missed on Harris and misses on Franks that will be on him but I think you'll see a much improved passing game this season. Not a great one but much better. He's done a really nice job developing QBs wherever he's been throughout his career. He did a nice job with Mettenberger. Last year was a bust. There will be struggles this year but I think LSU's QB play will improve considerably over the next few years.
