What'd yall do? Was Smashville fun? Did they have a bunch of fireworks on the strip? If you didn't have fun...why?

Sure, we had a super day! First, I took the family over to the library where we read a few books and periodicals and the kids caught a lecture on early American history. Afterwards we took advantage of the Belcourt's series on the films of Robert Altman and caught both "Short Cuts" and "The Player". Then we went back to the suburbs and blew up shite. You?

I was at my camp on the coast. Best 4th I've ever had.

Nothing much better than this. Nothing bonds the generations better than shared explosive fun. While most limit it just to the 4th of July, I find doing it in unexpected times makes it even more special. I have a relative that lives in a very white upscale neighborhood and we go over there and blow up shite on May 5th. When the neighbors call the cops we remind them it is Cinco de Mayo and they are being racially insensitive assholes. It really works for all the holidays based on folks who are not toffee nosed WASP's.
