IIRC in 2007 when Tennessee went to Atlanta, that was by virtue of the fact y'all beat us in the finale. The way the division played out winner of the Beer Barrel would take the East, and loser would finish 4th or 5th or whatever due to tiebreakers. Epic 2OT game, still one of the more bitter losses to UT for me. Still, we were a FG away from Atlanta.

Anyway enough could woulda shoulda. Jury is out on Butch and McElwain. Mizzou looks to be headed down a bit after roster attrition. I think theyll level out and become a perennial 7-9 win team...think Arkansas. Vandy gonna Vandy. Georgia.... How much longer will they keep Richt? I could have BCS rings with those rosters. We've actually been relatively successful against Georgia, Joker era notwithstanding.

I think by virtue of the fact that Ole Miss is in the West, and that our administration is finally trying, thanks to the fanbase demanding it, Kentucky has a real shot. I think a lot of you will be pleasantly surprised in Year 3 how we've finally got some respectable depth. Not going to see that fall off towards the end of the season like we saw against Tennessee. Coach Stoops said it himself. We had nothing to put out there and nothing left in the tank. He's recruited the right way and built up depth on the lines, where it matters most.

Boom Williams will be a 1,000 yd rusher this year. Dak Prescott is the only returning starter who threw for more yds than Towles. Several key WRs missed last year to injuries, we get them back. New OC Shannon Dawson looks to be a great addition as the Air Raid kicks into high gear. Offense looks to be promising.

I think defense, specifically the run, will make or break us, at least this season. Losing Bud and Z hurt, and I think CB depth is going to be an issue at times, but run D is where we have to make a stand. That killed us last year.

Do we make Atlanta this year? Heck no. But we have a solid Ragin Cajun squad coming in to open up the "new" Commonwealth....a solid cupcake opener. Then we head to Columbia to face Spurrier's boys and then back home to host Florida. I can't believe I'm saying it, but all 3 are very, very winnable on paper. We'll see where we're at after Week 3. I do expect the full SOS butthurt treatment down there after we gashed them like 20 plays in a row with the same wildcat handoff last season. You know he hasn't forgotten.
