So I took a venture over to TexAgs where I read the thread about John Chavis' aggressive defenses and something stood out to me.
When an LSU poster stated that when LSU had its best offense in 2013 the defense was hot garbage and that shows that A&M may not be any better with Chavis' defense. The Ags retorted that LSU's 2013 defense was the result of the mass exodus that happened with underclassmen after the 2012 season.
Both of these are correct, but why don't Ags see the same approach for LSU's offense? In 2012 we started a new QB, 3 or so OL, new WRs, TEs, etc and the offense suffered. In 2013 all of those guys returned and we had a great season which resulted in a mass exodus of offensive firepower to the draft. In 2014, we started a new QB, a new OL, new RB, new WRs, etc and the offense was hot garbage again. What's there to say that the LSU offense won't be better in 2015 with returning starters?
Maybe you Aggies should accept that teams have the ability to improve with experience and that it doesn't always matter who's coaching them. You all love to point out that LSU's defensive scheme with Chavis was simplified which allowed pure athletes to play without thinking. This same scheme was very predictable and allowed scores in crunch time. Now that Chavis is with A&M, you Ags have accepted that your defense won't have the same athletes that LSU did yet you expect improvement based on scheme alone. Now that LSU will have superior athletes and a new, complex scheme we should be better on defense.
Let me also refer to a thread which many of you seemed to enjoy,

Even when John Chavis had one of the most elite defenses of all time (2011 LSU) they only mustered up 38 total sacks in the season. In 2011, Texas A&M registered a whopping 51 total sacks in the season.
An elite LSU DE, Barkevious Mingo (drafted 6th overall in the 2013 NFL draft) managed 15 sacks throughout his career of 40 games played.
Myles Garrett of A&M has managed 11 sacks in his freshman season alone.
