See, that thinking is so narrow minded, it cracks me up. In 2013, we signed the #1 overall recruit, #1 OL recruit, #1 WR recruit, and #1-2 safety recruit. One from Florida, one from Georgia, and one from Illinois. Let me guess, that logic of "match facilities, history, blah blah instead of paying" doesn't work in this instance but every other one, especially Dupre, right?

ok, so every single recruit's decision ends up being purely financial. got it. for a school like ole miss to convince a kid not to go to a school that actually has a good program, they have to pay the kid that much more. my point was, it's a balancing game. a school like alabama sells itself. they do opay kids something, sure, but it doesn't take a lot of convincing that it will benefit him more in the end by going to alabama than accepting a moderately bigger handout from a bottom dweller like ole miss. for ole miss to land 5 5 stars in one class in Freeze's first year, that takes a special kind of cheating

When did I say that? All I said is that they are getting paid, which you agreed with. I'm aware of the price range.

you insinuated dupre was lost by ole miss due to a bidding war. let it go bro, he's from louisiana, and ole miss was never a finalist for the kid.

i'm not sure why you're even arguing with me. you're basically agreeing with the original point i made about ole miss fans always pointing the "we got outbid" finger every time a big time program lands a recruit you wanted.

I clearly said only one of them was due to that, debunking your "every time" statement. If you want to think OM wasn't a finalist, that's fine. One way or the other, it doesn't matter...he's at LSU. Honestly, I don't even know what we are arguing about anymore, I just want the guy who claims to know Dupre to come back.
