Recent- 2011, truly awesome defense.
Past - 1966, remarkably balanced team. Only allowed 37 points the entire regular season and demolished a very good Nebraska team 34-7 in the Sugar Bowl. That Cornhusker team won the Big 8 and lost their undefeated season to Oklahoma by a 10-9 score. Coach Bryant called off the dogs early in the 2nd half or the Sugar Bowl could have been even more decisive.
