The talent pool is deep this year for Dlinemen and LSU is in dire need.Would not be surprised to see the remaining spots filled on the front 7.I'm not sure who LSU will finish with but they're making Dlinemen a priority.
No doubt that LSU will get some great players. Not sold at all Gary will be one of them. To see some of the LSU posters on here, I can't imagine how LSU doesn't have the #1 recruiting class every year.
LSU posters claim to have the best coaches, the best facilities, the best recruits and the best overall players. There are several teams that are making the defensive line a priority. Georgia is one....Auburn another...Florida....yet, because LSU makes it a priority Gary is going there?
On one board (Recruiting) LSU posters claim LSU will be in a 4-3 this coming season so gary will go with them. On the regular board your posters claim you will be in "multiple" 3-4 formations (Whatever that is). I am convinced that LSU fans know less about their team than any other fan base.

LSU's base defense will be 4-3. They will switch to 3-4 and 3-2-5 in certain circumstances. The biggest difference you will notice will be more blitzes and attention to creating turnovers. I'm not convinced by Steele just yet, but I'm also not convinced he's going to give up 50+ to spread offenses. We are going to be aggressive in D, but I'm worried we might be too aggressive with the blitz packages leaving our secondary out of place.
Ftr the media is the one driving LSU moving to a 3-4 based on the Steele hire. We aren't moving to a solely 3-4. Does that help?
