But yet, Tennessee is getting top 5 classes 2 years in a row. Also the amount of talent coming out of Tennessee has sky rocketed over the past 5/6 years due to the population explosion in middle Tennessee. And there's just gonna be more and more of it. This is good for UT because it's not all in Memphis anymore. It's in the mid state where UT will get mostly who it wants.

Compare how many 4/5 stars Nebraska has produced over the past 2 years to what Tennessee has produced, then get back with me.

Tennessee absolutely puts out more talent than many many states, but it isn't enough to sustain a top tier program year in a year out.

Two top 5 classes two years in a row is good, especially if it's based on the talent more so than the actual amount of recruits. But it all depends on what is actually done with that talent, Georgia is the perfect example of under performing.

We will see what Butch is made of this year, because he has no excuse not to win at least 9 games.

Also, I would refer to the population growth in central Tennessee as exploding. Its growing at a health clip, but nothing compared to Georgia, Florida, Texas, and North Carolina.

My point is, UT can pick the elite guys in Tennessee and then, due to our location go get guys from pretty much anywhere. Just look at the states that are represented in the past 2 classes.

I agree, Butch has to prove he can get the most out of the talent he gets.

Who said Tennessee has to only get players from their own state anyway? I saw a stat earlier today that only 37 percent of Alabama players over the last decade have come from the state of Alabama
