Why make a production out of it? Singapore will just hang you in the basement of the jail on a friday morning the week after you are convicted. no muss no fuss.
if you want to use a bullet, then China way works best. One dude with a pistol shoots the prisoner in the back of the head. One bullet. Done. frick em.

On another note... the problem with using lethal injection is the drugs are getting hard for the states to acquire.
I dont see why they cant use standard anesthesia. I recently had back surgery and joked with the anesthetist about what it cost for him to put me to sleep. His reply was he would put me to sleep for free, but he would charge BCBS to wake me back up.
Just give the condemned a small shot of morphine to put them asleep and then a large dose to shutdown everything. Guy is dead, and it was peaceful. That makes it easier for the regular citizens to accept.
(I on the other hand think we should just lock them in a cell and leave them there. No food or water. Toss the body in the garbage in a week or so. No cost of a bullet or electricity or drugs.)
