Like I said the flag has historical significance and that is it's proper place. There are to many things in this world that represent something to one person or group and something entirely different to another person or group. I know this will be unpopular but if we keep removing things that hurt someone's feelings we are going to have nothing.

Please don't take this as me supporting racism or bigotry all things from the past have their place and some things we need to keep around if for nothing else than to remember so the mistakes are never repeated.

Oh we are in complete agreement there

It's not about eradication. First off, that's impossible, and secondly, even if it were, folks who were so inclined would just find another symbol to which to assign their views.

I concur.

I just don't care for it being celebrated/lauded.

We're on the same page
