stats agasint FCS teams in 2012:
SCSU - 15/20, 174yds passing. 8 for 78 yds rushing. didn't play in 2nd half.

SHSU - 14/20, 267yds passing. 16 for 100yds rushing. played for exactly 1 down in the 2nd half (a TD pass).

remove these stats completely from the records, and he still breaks the single season yardage record (in three less games than cam newton played), and still wins the 2012 heisman. no one points to these games as to why he deserved the trophy.

Take away the Alabama win and he doesn't win the Heisman.

As I said, he won the Heisman based on hyped stats from bad teams(more than just the FCS teams), and the big win against Alabama.

consider this my last post on this topic.

in the 5 games that you cherry-picked to show whatever point it is that you're trying to make, manziel averaged 328ypg.

cam newton averaged 309ypg in 2010.

again, i'm not trying to suggest that manziel > or < cam newton.
