AJ sat out half as many total quarters that Manziel did in a single FCS game. Alabama didn't play 2 FCS teams like A&M. He also sat in other games as well.

Still, he passed for 26 TD's and nearly 3,000 yards awhile only throwing 3 INTs all year. Good enough for 2nd in passer efficiency.

And that is the kind of thing you need in a QB and offense that wins Championships.

So yeah, he had better stats, but AJ performed much better. If not for the 2 INT's vs A&M, he wouldn't have thrown any during the regular season.

30 TDs and 3 INTs all year. I'll take it all day long.
