Well the starters we lost and their replacements are:

CB: Senquez Golson, replaced by Tee Shepard
S: Cody Prewitt, replaced by CJ Hampton IMO
MLB: DT Shackleford, replaced by CJ Johnson (moving from DE)
DT: Bryon Bennett, replaced by DJ Jones
DE: CJ Johnson replaced by Marquis Haynes

QB Bo Wallace replaced by Chad Kelly
WR Vince Sanders replaced by Damoreheeats Stringfellow

I think Golson was great but Shepard is as good or better. He's taller and more physical and will be a pick machine.

Hampton was a highly sought-after recruit and lays the wood. I don't know about his intangibles but he is a solid physical specimen and played well in sparse minutes last year.

CJ was one of the top linebackers in the country in high school and is in his sixth year with the team. He is more physical than DT and is a good leader, should see improvement there.

Bennett was never out of position but Jones is more talented. You never know how Jucos pan out and we seem to have bad luck with Juco d-linemen but there's promise.

Haynes was one of the top defensive ends in the conference last year against the pass. He won't be much help on physical runners coming his way, but he can catch anyone in space.

Kelly has more talent than Bo but he has never played in the SEC and wasn't in line to start at Clemson, so QB worries me quite a bit.

Stringfellow is a freak but has alligator arms. If you could put Sanders talent, coachability and grit in Stringfellow's body it would be a helluva receiver. I don't know how he'll fare but luckily we have a deep stable at the position this year.

I'm not sure how we replace Spaight and Flowers.

Secondary should be better and overall DL depth is better than we've had in years, so I think we should be alright.

I'm not confident. Call me cautiously optimistic.
