Slightly off topic, but question: is that kind of a generational thing?

Yes. And woo pig is straight up SWC, so there are commonalities I'm sure.

Kids these days like to go "OWWWWWwoooooooo" and woop and do other weird shite. You know, we like it to be just regular old "normal" yelling of WOOOOOOOOOO..... PIG! Sooie!" Like normal people.

Fight song lyrics are "give a cheer, rah rah, never fear, rah rah" but it seems like with the Millennials it got changed to "Go Hogs" instead of "rah rah". Millennials and non-alum. It annoys me, but I'm normal. I like songs to be sung how they are written. There are also three "A"s in the last line, but the kids these days only sing 2 As.

This below is the proper singing. It's all kinds of fuxxored now.

My freshman year, our pledge trainer taught my pledge class the fight song with the lyrics "give a cheer, rah rah, drink a beer, rah rah." I've never been able to sing it any other way and it always throws me off when I hear "never fear."
