So you're saying that Rich Rod would have won just as much as Saban? Or the 1960's equivalent would have won just as much as Bear? Give me a break.

Having lucked into great coaches is the only thing that seperates Bama from UGA or something. No, you wouldn't be Ole Miss without them, but you'd be just another top 10-12 all time program. Not anything to sneeze at mind you.

Stallings won a title at Bama and averaged 10+ wins per season during an era of 11 win regular seasons.

He wasn't a "great" coach, but a very good one. Bama will be fine.
