If bama had not had all those teams lose at the end of 2011 they wouldn't have gotten a rematch.

Hardly the same comparison.

That Orange bowl exposed nebraska for what they were. It wasn't like miami was that great either. They lost by 20 to the only really good team they played.

And what did the Sugar Bowl do if not expose Auburn? Michigan led for most of the game with the score being 7-3 going into the final quarter of play. You eeked out a 9-7 victory.

Your best wins in the regular season were against Florida and Georgia. Florida finished 9-2-1 and Georgia finished 10-1-1. At no point in the season did you look dominate over ranked competition.

frick it. I typed up a long response and hit the back button on my phone by mistake not doing it again.

Neither Nebraska or miami had a resume comparable to AU. If AU had played Nebraskas schedule 9 of the 11 games would have been 40 or 50 or 60 to zero. Nebraska played no one.

U bet you are one of those that thinks a team that goes undefeated in the MAC or playing no one all year deserves to be in the playoff.

AU played 5 Teams in the Top 10 that year. Five straight ranked teams to end the season. Nobody exposed AU, that was a typical Pat Dye coached game. Miami won the NC that year, even after getting blown out by UF.
