I had always heard the sweet tea was a factor as well. However, the last specialist I went too did not put much stock in that...might depend on what type of stone...
But I still drink tea in moderation.
This specialist has me focusing on my oxalate intake, calcium oxalate stones. Oxalates are in plant foods and are tiny crsytaline structures plants use as a defense mechanism. I also take daily Potassium, (urocrit), which is a chalky tablet about the size of a large grape.
