Top 50 Rush offenses (major conference schools only)
1. Georgia Tech
3. Wisconsin
8. Ohio State
9. Indiana
10. Oklahoma
11. Georgia
13. Auburn
14. Boston College
15. Pittsburgh
17. Nebraska
19. Michigan State
20. Oregon
21. Mississippi State
23. LSU
24. Arkansas
27. Baylor
28. Minnesota
32. UCLA
34. TCU
35. Alabama
39. Utah
40. Washington
41. Florida
43. West Virginia
45. Arizona
46. Duke
48. Miami (FL)
As you can see, 5 of the ACC schools (36%), 4 of the Big 12 schools (40%), 5 of the PAC 12 schools (42%), 6 of the B1G schools (43%) and 7 of the SEC schools (50%) were top 50 rush offenses last season.
If you taper that down to just top 25:
5 SEC (36%)
5 B1G (36%)
3 ACC (21%)
1 Big 12 (10%)
1 PAC 12 (8%)
Now, let's look at Baylor's rush defense when placed against offenses listed in the aforementioned schools:
vs. TCU (34): 41 carries for 139 yards and 4 TD (3.4 ypc)
at West Virginia (43): 50 carries for 134 yards and 2 TD (2.68 ypc)
at Oklahoma (10): 33 carries for 171 yards (5.18 ypc)
vs. Michigan State (19): 46 carries for 238 yards and 4 TD (5.17 ypc)
Against the only "traditional" run team Baylor played in 2014, they got mauled in the run game.
Oh, and here's the coup de grace:
West Virginia had 32 carries for 126 yards and 0 touchdowns (3.93 ypc)...against Texas A&M, one of the worst rush defenses in the country.

you lose all credibility using total yardage as your ranker.

I watched both games
Baylor had to play WVU with Clint Trickett who was an accurate passer so they could not cheat toward the run
Texas A&M played against WVU's 3rd stringer QB who couldn't hit open receivers the entire game, so A&M simply stacked the box and dared him to throw, and still overthrew his open receivers all game
