His point is still valid, IMO. It helps to not play many run heavy teams. Baylor led the Big12 in rushing attempts last year.

Baylor had more rush attempts than every team in the SEC not named LSU

There's no point trying to create some mathematical conversion between an SEC yard/tackle/touchdown/whatever and a nonSec yard/tackle/touchdown/whatever it is 100% opinion

Baylor had a great rush defense last year and Oakman was a big part of it. that argument is supported by actual statistics. is it easier to tackle a 3 or 4 star RB than it is to tackle a 4 or 5 star RB? sure, usually. It's still 180-220 pounds of human you have to move to the ground.
