Because inheriting Johnny Manziel is the same as inheriting Brandon Allen

Ummm, no. Sumlin has a long history of developing quarterbacks just like Bert has a history of eating a quarterback's weight in cheeseburgers for a snack.

Developing Manziel into a Heisman winner is not the same as coaching Brandon Allen to be a middle of the pack SEC QB.

So Sumlin would have the same record if instead of Manziel he had an average at best SEC QB that played with a separated shoulder all of 2013?

I didn't even mention Mike Evans and the first round offensive linemen

the only developing he did was allowing manziel to do whatever he wanted.
